How slow are Splash DVD?

Mostly Harmless

Ordered Memento from Splash DVD (formerly Under-18) on Sunday 3 March. Still not been delivered. Would have been quicker ordering it from the other side of the world!

Anyone with similar feedback for Splash?

Iv'e been waiting 3 weeks for my order and they hardly reply to any e-mails, iv'e phoned them twice both times they said we're waiting for the stock, 3 weeks is a long time, the longest iv'e ever had to wait for a DVD.
definitly won't be ordering from them again.

I ordered "Memento" from Splash or "Under18" as they were know back then......and got it within a week.

Maybe the customer service as gone down hill since the name change?

They are very very POOR, I ordered from them for the first time (a dvd) on Friday 5th April and still havent recieved it!!!! It said it would take 3 days to ship, it took 13 days for them to finally ship it. Then got an e-mail saying it has been despatched and it will take 3-5 working days to arrive, well.... 6 working days later and I am STILL WAITING for my DVD, if it doesn't arrive tomorrow then i'm asking for my money back!

I have never received anything from Splash! I've ordered a number of Dvds and CDs but always given up after a month - still there cancellation process seemed very efficient!!!

Use Play instead.

Not used em recently but in the past delivery was very patchy.
One disk took around six weeks and that was after 4-5 phone calls.
Other disks arrived within a week - weird!

I have used them a lot over the past months and Play, when Splash did not have the DVD i wanted and had no problems with them. That all changed with my last order. In April i ordered Saving Grace and Welcome Home Roxy Carmichael. They arrived about 9 days later which is average delivery time for them.
I was suspicious of the Roxy DVD from the begining, the case was damaged on the front and just looked second hand and the DVD was loose inside. However, it was a sale DVD so if it played ok i would suffer the case. It wouldn't play past the menu so i returned it by recorded delivery with a covering letter and email on April 23rd. No response from Splash so on May 3rd I sent an email asking what was happening they said they were out of stock but should receive new stock next week. I received the replacement today, strangely the case is damaged on the front in exactly the same place and way and the DVD will not play past the menu.
I guess it is no more orders to Splash from me.
