PlayUSA having issues?

A post I read on the DigitalFix forums has me scratching my head.

Basically someone has said that PlayUSA is closing down.
Normally I wouldn't credit that, but there aren't any preorders anymore, the site hasn't been updated in weeks, and the front page is increasingly bare.

After waiting three months on an order and nothing happening, I gave up and cancelled it today.

Anyone else having issues with, or fielding rumours about PlayUSA?

Super Admin

Wouldn't surprise me, I think the market for importing has shrunk considerably over the years, especially with day and date releases everywhere now practically the norm.

Also Blu-ray and the modern BBFC have removed most of the reasons to import.

Elite

If true it probably has a lot to do with the fact that they are expensive and only offer Canadian discs, which a lot of BD fans turn their noses up at.
