I knew this would happen! Personally I didnt want to risk having a 5 disc boxset delivered via the postman so went into my local MVC store and picked it up for £39.99! The extra £7 was worth it for the piece of mind in itself!!!!

Keep your fingers crossed for me Andy.............I'll keep you all updated when/if i recieve it (by the way, is the bonus disc any good?)

Havent got round to watching the bonus disc much but had a look at it and its great! Watched Paul,George and Ringo in Abbey Road with George Martin going through old Beatles out-takes. Also includes the full video for 'Real Love'. Im gonna sift through it all tonight - I've got the making of the Anthology albums to watch and the making of 'Free as a bird' and 'Real love' videos. Theres about 80 minutes of material on the bonus disc! Only got my player through my hi-fi coz I havent got a surround amp and speakers etc but apparently you can choose either DTS,Dolby Surround 5.1 or normal stereo (I forget the technical term for it) and this is included on all 5 discs!

I have to say the picture is not the best I've seen but nothing to worry about! Funnily enough the old footage is better than the actual interviews from 1994!!! The real beauty is the sound - even though I've been playing it through my headphones that in itself is the most powerful sound I've heard! Watched all 8 chapters in about 4 days but was well worth it!

All in all if you like the Beatles you will love this but even if you dont you soon will be! I've been waiting years for this to come out on DVD - I was'nt prepared to buy it on VHS , which oddly enough costs about an extra £70!!??!

Fingers crossed that you'll get yours soon - you will not be dissapointed!

....Another thing! I bought my girlfriend 'Will Young - Live' to stop her moaning coz I spent £40 on the Beatles Anthology and to keep her happy! Its a bit perverse watching Macca perform 'The long and winding road' one night and then having to watch that muppet perform it the following night!!!!

Nightmare!

Just spoken to CD Wow if your order was despatched between 28 March - 31 March ( which is presumably most of them!) the order has been impounded in a random security check by British Airways.

Should be sorted 'early next week'

I got the same line by e-mail yesterday, but the package turned up on my doorstep this morning - postmarked Sweden - so no customs tax issue either!. Glad I paid less and waited a short while longer - what's 10 days or so after waiting a few years!
