i just hope they don't disable the wifi hotspot thingamabob....  that was the deal clencher for me, as i figured if i went back to the iphone, i could use the desire as a wifi modem, since i'm still paying the same money for the voda contract as i was on the mobile BB dongle.  if voda treat it the same as bluetooth "tethering" then they'll wanna charge extra & the whole thethering thing is bollox... data is data, it shouldn't matter where or how you use it Confused

d/l'd this morning at home via wifi.

just carried out the installation whilst at work, and all seems well. i like having the
idea of the wifi hotspot, but can't really see me using it that much tbh.

do like the "apps share" option which has appeared... just need to find someone
else who has an android phone Happy

hmmm,

had a few issues since upgrading the OS.

1. on-screen keyboard would'nt display text "in real time" as i typed, but showed the
text once i removed the on-screen keyboard.
2. had to force a shutdown of the texting facility due to the on-screen keyboard freezing.
3. also had to force a shutdown of google mail this morning after it stopped responding.

don't know if these are caused by the OS, but seems a bit of a coincidence as i haven't
had any real issues with the desire previously.

lol Grinning

i've cleared the cache that those services use, and so far so good...

i have noticed though, that when i switch on my data connection 3G/HDSPA etc,
it seems to take longer to aquire a signal.
