Ipod earphones

A bit of an old chestnut but my Sennheisser CX500s have just died so I was about to order another pair. Just borrowed one of the kids actual Apple ones whilst I walked the dog this afternoon and was somewhat impressed.
Wondering which to go for now.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what 'it' was.
Now, what I'm with isn't it, and what's 'it' seems weird and scary

One of two things have happened here. Your Senn's have been **** for a while so the Apple's sound good in comparison.

Or someone has replaced your ears with cabbages.

You must be the only person in the world to think the apple buds sound even remotely better than 2 tin cans and a length of string.

^^^ What he said.

I've got the Sony MDREX38's which I'm pretty happy with (for commuting use):

They do leak a little (according to my colleagues! Happy) but that doesn't bother me too much.
In fact three of them around me have now bought the same ones and are pretty happy.

They work well with iPhones and iPods due to the volume and click controls (pause, next/prev track and a built-in microphone).

Me and headphones don't get on.

I rarely break/lose anything, but headphones I go through ludicrous amounts.  Don't know what on earth I do.  Have lost a few pairs from falling out of pocket, but otherwise just generally one headphone tends to go.

For that reason I'm on 2 pairs for a tenner of cheapo Panasonic ones

Saying that, if you like them, who am I to tell you they are ****e. Each to their own.

Just to qualify, I don't use in ear headphones. I use a pair of I-grado cans.

Bare in mind, they use the same driver as their multi award winning sr60i. They are £90 a pop.

That's a bit harsh I think! They are alright if you aren't in any sort of a noisey environment, and haven't heard better.

I have Seinnheisser in ear thingamedoodles, which are really nice, good bass on them right up until they slide out of my ear and break the seal. Confused

Slight mistake on my part, the broken ones were CX300's.
Same happened to them as the last pair, eventually one side goes dead as the connection of the wire at the jack end pulls loose. I've tried taking them apart before and it's not worth the trouble.
Possibly the Sony ones seem better than you would expect due to the change from 'in ear' to them.

I'll probably um and err and then get the same again.

I have just bought my second pair of these earphones after my first pair got nicked with my jacket a few weeks ago....quality sound for the price.
