I bought an Ipad2 last month, i should have known i would get fed up with it after a short while, i am not too impressed with the apps that i have seen and downloaded so far.....most of them are available on my Android phone and there is more variation.
I bought Infinity Blade 2, Final Fantasy 3,JPhrases, KanjiBox and a relaxation program and use the Metro newspaper, boxee/ted and tunein radio apps but thats about all i have been interested in.
I never looked into jailbreaking the iPad2, i just assumed it could be done but it's not available and there has been no news of it getting done anytime soon
I wish i had just bought an iPhone 4S instead now.
Think i will need to look into a trade in.
I think the following are unified apps:
Canabalt
Continuity 2
Cut the Rope: Holiday Gift (free!)
Football Manager Handheld
Frotz (play Hitch Hikers Guide text adventure!)
Geared 2
Google Earth
IMDB app
Rage HD
Train Conductor
TuneIn Radio Pro (if you like streaming radio stations)
Wolfenstein 3D Classic
Something there may amuse you! I have loads of apps on my iphone, some of which were free and Im not sure they are now, others look to be iPhone/iTouch rather than iPad so there may be other versions.
When I finally get an iPad I'll definitely be considering Rebirth.

Thanks Rob for the recommended apps
But, i have tried most of them.....Tunein Radio is one of my favourite apps and i own the pro version on android, I listen mostly to dance/trance and rap music but i love listening to Cinemix on it....it's my favourite music station....beautiful relaxing music.
Browsing on the iPad is rapid and a great experience but i am upgrading my phone next month and should have thought about this before i bought the iPad.
If a Jailbreak came out i would consider holding on to it though.

Personally I love my iPad more than I thought I would.
I use it as music player around the house/in hotels as the speakers are pretty good for on go.
With regards to specifics I use
- Airplayer recommended by Miles, which always me to view all my videos off my NAS (I believe Miles said you could set it up to view where ever you are provided you have a wifi connection).
- A comic book reader which I can't remember the bloody name of...........
- Football Manager Handheld
- iBooks which is standard anyway
Don't think there's that much else I use app wise though.
Although just looking at Boxee app description then, queing videos for later viewing is exactly what I need, as generally I am not in a good place to view videos and then forget later.
I just thought it was more of a XBMC alternative for a media centre

I do tend to use some apps on my phone to save me booting up my laptop, like checking the imdb, but much more than that and I'd be using an ipad if I had one.

Skirpy, way off topic, but thanks for the recommendation of Cinemix. I read your post late last night, tried Cinemix, have to say, I'm hooked!I just love relaxing to that channel.....plays movie/remixes and soundtracks from all over the world.

I feel different today....maybe i will hold onto it, i will sell my rooted desire and put the funds towards an iPhone 4S i think.
Bump! (Now I have an iPad
)

Great thing to check daily, shows you apps that have gone free and ones that have gone on sale, also lets you watch specific apps so it keeps an eye on them for you (like the Bargain Watcher on here but doesn't email you).
