Ok Guys, I ran a thread about these ages ago, but I got a bit bogged down with all the tech, i'm a bit of a thicko lol....
Basically I want a tab for around £200 will run google all the usual facebook, twitter and normal browsing, I dont do games, also I need to it run outlook express for my email as thats what I use on my desktop etc.
Not a huge deal of requirements really...any recomends? The market is huge out there!

Microsoft may well have a decent tablet OS on the way in Windows 8, but they don't have one now. You are far better off with an Android device in that price bracket.

yeah all you need is a pop email client, & whilst i havnt specificaly checked, i'm certain there will be an android mail app that can handle it..
also, look for
capacative screen (actually check the specs, most of the cheap tabs use resistive screens, but hide it in the small print)
check the cpu speed, & Double check it in customer reviews, a lot of the chinese cheapies lie, or embelish the clock speed (ie, it may have a 600mhz cpu, & a 300mhz gpu, but they will try & say it's a 1ghz cpu in the bumf)
if it's a 10" tab your looking for then i think the advent vega is still the best bang for buck, & if you keep an eye on HDUK they quite often apear around the £150 mark, the negatives being, the screen is generally considered sub par (compared to the more expensive tabs) & the stock rom is generally considered a hinderence, but from what i've read, it's extremely easy to install one of the custom roms, which apparently improve it immensely
the positives..
dual core tegra cpu
very cheap for a well speced 10" tab.
capacative multitouch screen
another option is the dell streak, but that depends on if you think a 5" screen is big enough, tbh, i have one & i easily manage to do all my browsing/video/ etc, & the screen is of very high quality & it has a 3g modem as well as wifi (& if you don't mind looking strange, it also works as a fully fledged phone
) dell have discontinued the 5" streak, & it can be picked up for under £200 brand new on pay & go.. (tesco where selling it for £199 but i doubt they still have stock
)

Instead on the 5" dell I ended up buying a 4" Sony for less than the dell.
Anyway back to the original posters question.
If you can live with a 7" screen, the Samsung Galaxy Tab keeps on popping up as a refub on ebay for between £150 & £200, I've looked at it at least 4 times in the last few weeks.
You can set ebay search to e-mail you with new listings.
Re the email: why don't you just read it on-line?
I haven't opened outlook express in years. My email accounts are available to my mobile so I just read most of them on my phone.

dell have discontinued the 5" streakIt's still available from Dell for £379
Morgan Computers have a refub 5" streak for £199 + £6.99 delivery.
What put me off that was that its only got a 90 day warranty. ![]()

Great Thanks! Very helpfull mate.
What about Archos? They do a tab 10" for around 200 quid.
Dave, I know you said your budget was £200, but if you could up that by an extra £50, Dabs have a Acer Iconia A500 16gb Android 3.0 Honeycomb on offer, £100 off the normal price.
Details here
I'm not recommending that tablet as I don't know that much about it, but worth a look ![]()
Yea I seen that one pat, and I was also looking at the archos, phew I also read not good things about archos as well ![]()
The advent vega looks ok-ish but its pc worlds own brand which kinda puts me off
