Recommend a wireless dongle (signal strength)

Hi folks,

My Laptone Wireless G USB Adapter has died after a few years of good use. I've got a spare MIni USB (Wireless N) that I can use, but it doesn't capture the signal anywhere near as well as the larger Laptone one. The best wireless device I own (in terms of maintaining high signal strength) is my laptop - if I could somehow take it out of there and put it into my desktop PC, I'd be a happy man. Happy

Anyway, any recommendations for a wireless dongle for optimum signal strength? I can't see me paying any more than £15, unless I knew I'd get a perfect signal.

If it helps, I'm on Windows 7, and the router is about three metres below the desktop PC (router is downstairs, PC is upstairs), but that three metres is virtually a straight line.

Thanks!
