Maxell 52x CD-R 100 pack £8.79 delivered here

I use Maxell DVD-Rs in my Panny recorder and don't think I've had a duffer yet out of 3 x 100 packs

I usually get them from play.com as well, Maxell's have been fine for me to in my PCs and Panasonic dvd recorder, although some ppl don't like them. Play sometimes have them buy 2 get 1 free.

If you can't wait for them to arrive, I think I saw Sainsburys has Verbatim 1/2 price again, CDR, DVD+R, DVD-R in store which makes them close to internet price.

I wouldn't take a Maxell disc if you gave me it free.
As a matter of fact, I wouldn't even use or recommend a Maxell disc if you paid me to use it!!

I only use Ritek dyed discs with G05 dye code, usually 8x DVDR but varying manufacturers. Again, Maxell have this dye type and again, usually the failing ones.

Couple of other ones I'd avoid using the same dyes but Traxdata, Ritek themselves and TDK are generally top notch quality.

I've been using Verbatim discs (CD and DVDs) for the last couple of years.
I've not had a single problem with them (so far!) and generally have picked them up whilst in Sainsburys...seeing as they keep knocking them down to half price every now and again.

Whilst we are at it, steer clear of Cheryl Cole CDs, good for burning but playing back afterwards is a no go.

'Cole' 'good for burning'
Very clever, I see what you did there.
Doesn't leave much Ashley afterwards either.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what 'it' was.
Now, what I'm with isn't it, and what's 'it' seems weird and scary

Hmm, not sure why you'd make such a claim about Maxell products.
I've bought/used in excess of 500 DVD-R & DVD+R discs - bought from Play and DVD-UK, and reckon I've had about half a dozen failures: this is on PC/Liteone/Panasonic recorders. I'd recommend them with no reservations.
Perhaps you could tell us what your problem is exactly?
Were you perhaps assaulted by a Maxell disc in your youth?
Cheers, Les.

Funnily enough, I was thinking the same - along with Tupac........
