I have noticed that my sig on here has all gone wrong and most of it is missing. Sooooo.....I tried to amend it but it keeps saying that my password should only contain letters and numbers. Soooo.....I try to put in a new password and it wont let me as my existing password is wrong.
Can anyone sort this out for me please.

Just tried to change my password again but no luck. I know my old password as an "@" in it so could be that causing the issue..
Rob, feel free to change my password ans PM it to me and i will change it straight away.

I've changed the @ to an "a", rest is the same! Let me know if it still doesn't work. ![]()

I don't think any place should store the passwords unencrypted. Can't think of too many now where you can even recover your password and you generally get a link to change it.

RJS, that is suggesting you have the passwords unencrypted to be able to see them? Please say that's not so......They are encrypted, they just aren't one way hashed. And this may come as a shock to you, but back in 1999, even that was pretty secure compared to most!
Wait, are you using the same password here as for your online banking? Say it isn't so! ![]()
General security advice, use a different password for every website you use. If that's too much hassle, use different ones for e-commerce sites. I tend to use one password for forum sites, where the most harm anyone can do if they get hold of it is post crap to forums, which I do myself anyway so it's not too bad!
Security begins at home!
The big problem with improving the security on DVD Reviewer is the old site, which people still use for reasons that escape me.
But that should be a lot easier in the next few days when the next updates render it nothing more than a glorified hack archive.
