I mentioned on the other thread about the 4.3.3 upgrade that I'd noticed a massive battery drain recently on my iPhone without upgrading the firmware. I'm still on 4.3.1.
When I first got the phone there was a thread on here about the battery and I remember doing a test with Miles where the battery was losing about 6% overnight when fully charged. Thought I'd try it again and this morning it's down to 74% in 9 hours with no use!
Any ideas? The only thing I've done is filled up all the free space with music.
Is 4.3.3 giving people worse battery stats than that? I might as well upgrade if not!
best bet is to check with ur local apple store if u have one, they can run a diagnostic, i got mine changed last week as the battery was about half what they thought it should be
I find it's certain apps that after I've run seem to mean the wireless is connected permanently. A reboot often fixes it.

Just wondered if anybody had any news on the latest software yet, I havn't updated Sarah's phone for a few months after everyone on here saying the updates were full of bugs etc.
Not sure what she is on now but in the last 2-3 weeks her battery life has gone terrible, lucky to get 24 hours out of it whereas before she could easily get a few days.
AFAIK nothing has changed, no new apps installed, no new music added on, hasn't even been connected to the computer etc.
Any suggestions? she has had it for probably just over a year, would it still be under guarantee/worth taking into the Apple shop.
All the best
Gerald.
Shameless website plug
Has her signal strength dropped a lot due to a local transmitter problem? That would decrease the battery, but I suspect not that much.
One thing I find when this happens is holding down the power button to shut it off, and then booting it up again can help.
But it does randomly happen to me too, and I'm sure it's a bug after using certain apps that leaves the wireless connection on.

Take it to apple store, worst case they will run a diagnostic, if its close to the warranty they will exchange it (probably for free) so make sure u do a full back up b4 u go in, if its less than 2 years old and they try to charge u £55 i think it is use the sale of goods act and fit for purpose line, should be ok
