Title says it all really - I can move the cursor with the touchpad on the XP login section but once it loads up the desktop I can't move the cursor - any help greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Not sure if this is any use, but we have a Toshiba laptop and found that if we installed iTunes it disabled a variety of hotkeys, and the (physical roller) volume control on the front of the laptop. A google search led to an iTunes uninstall and reinstalling various Toshiba laptop software packages from their website.
Could be similar for your touchpad problem?
J.
Does the touchpad still work in safe mode?
Does an external mouse work?

Could someone please
Remove these cutleries
From my knees...
Reinstall the touchpad driver.
