Photographs (normal size, not massive prints)
The odd document.
Maybe the odd scan, although that's not massively important.
I'd like wireless, so I don't have to have it in the same room as the PC.
I like the thought of the Kodak ones, that say they use much less ink.
But they don't seem to be wireless. ![]()
I would recommend a Canon, check reviews for the current models, best deals etc.
For years Epson ruled the roost for home printing, particularly photo-printing, but the last two Epsons I have purchased have been very disappointing. Canon seem to be winning all of the group tests that I have read for the last couple of years. One advantage with Epsons it the very low cost of 'clone' cartridges, I can't complain of the running costs.
Avoid Lexmark though, their inkjets are renowned for poor quality and high running costs. They make good lasers though.
HP generally get good reviews, but can be expensive to run. The do make some fast printers though.
Keep away from Epson.
Made the mistake of picking up a dx8450 after my HP2175 packed up, forgot my previous annoyance of continually seeming to run cleaning cycles and nozzle checks. Never again.
