I have been waiting for this model for some time as an upgrade to my Asus Eee PC 701 but would like to see one in the flesh first?
Has anyone seen any in the shops on display?
I also can't find any "unboxing" videos on youtube for the black??
If anyone's got one can they post a video please!!

I've not seen the black model, but my cousin has the silver model and it's a really nice piece of kit. It's more like a mini-laptop rather than one of the netbooks like the Eee, mainly down to the fact that it's running a full version of XP.
It's a nice computer, and there's not really much that can be said against it. Its good value for money, and if I remember rightly it came out on top on the Gadget Show, against similarly priced machines.
One thing to note, if you get one make sure the number lock isn't on, as that seems to be default setting for this machine and can be very confusing.

unless your urgent to upgrade i would Seriously consider waiting for the first generation of ion based netbooks to apear, as these will be a massive jump in performance over the current crop of atom based netbooks, & should be simularly priced, i'd estimate they should start appearing june/july.

Its good value for money

it looks very nice, but the 1.3ghz cpu puts me of, & it seems expensive, most peeps think the ion based netbooks will be around the £350 mark, & they can run full HD 1080p vid & run call of duty 4/5 type games...(allegedly)

Well the model my cousin bought was around £70 cheaper than that, which did make it good value for money when she got it around 3-4 weeks ago.

The NC20 only comes in White and black, I think some of you are mistaking it with the NC10.
I only want it for a bit of web surfing and playing my divx videos so dont need anything very powerful.
I'm running XP on a Celeron with 512mb ram and that runs ok for me.

I'm sure I saw an unboxing vid for the nc20 on an nc10 site a while ago? May have been for a white one though - is the colour that important?

1.3Ghz processor? Isn't that a bit of step back from the NC10's 1.6Ghz processor? The only so-called improvement on the NC20 is the 12.1" display as far as I can see, and frankly that's not so impressive. My first laptop had a 12" screen (admittedly in b/w and it only ran DOS).
