Blu Ray Writers..

Elite Donator

Been thinking of buying one for a while but so far been put off by cost of media.
Now that I have the PS3 I'm back to thinking about buying one.

Looking for opinions, models, recommendations, pitfalls and any other information anyone can throw on the subject.

Nothing is too small for me on this subject, I was burned (pardon the pun) on my first DVDRW as I paid £300 2 weeks before they went to £150 and another fortnight before they went to an average of £70.

Don't want to make a similar move but seems to me that BD Writers just aren't moving enough for the price to fall fast enough.

Competent

I have this on my pc which burns BD's nicely. It comes packaged with cyberlink software which is ok (after a few updates). As for burning BD's, it's quick, easy and hassle free and the included burning software is good.

While it may be solidifying the perception of me having a 'hard on' for Blu-ray, I was going to recommend the LG GGW-H20L. It reads/writes DB and also reads HD DVD. It's a very good drive, but it seems to be out of stock at most retailers (although Aria and DCL seem to have some).

I'd recommend waiting for four weeks.
