Gobsmacked - Didn't realise they were phone pic's.

I consider myself an optimist, albeit an optimist with cynical tendencies and a dark side that Lucifer himself would find a little creepy. (Perhaps you’ve noticed.) You don’t normally associate cynicism with an upbeat pov. But I have exactly that combination and will defend it.

When fishermen catch dolphin-friendly tuna, how do they know which tuna are being friendly to dolphins?

@ Spangles. Mate I love this phone. Had problems at firs but upgraded the ROM and now its great. As good as the N95, if not better. the touch screen is great, well better than the Touch Diamond.

@Flyingmonkey. Yeah i know that mate, in fact explained it all to my daughter on Saturday. Winking

@ ras. They are quite good for a phone aint they. I really like the one of Big.......sorry, the Houses of Parliament. I have it as a screen saver at work and it looks rather good.

Jackal have you put the SPB shell on the phone or sticking with the normal Omnia one. Only cos the widget thing is rubbish has shortcuts that I would never use and you can't add any.

I've gone with the Iphone now, but out of curiosity what's browsing the web like on the Omnia through Wi Fi?

I would have liked a decent camera which is the main loss in going Iphone ahead of Omnia (as mentioned in other threads don't really do MMS messages or particularly bothered about ringtones), but already sorted a deal for an Iphone and the Omnia was going to cost about an extra £170 odd quid.

I'd actually ruled it out after reading one review which wasn't very good, as I hadn't heard anything about it and only came across it looking for the Nokia N96 reviews. Since then I've seen quite a few good reviews which would have meant I would have given it more consideration. The N96 was ruled out as it would cost £500 at least and the internet browsing is more important to me than the camera at those kind of prices.

I did and it looked very nice but id kept giving me hassle. When I flashed it i never put it back on. Have you tried using the Samsung Theme 1 or 2? under Settings/todayscreen. You can add items (tab at bottom of screen) or remove to your liking. It does get rid of the widget but I never liked it TBH.

Vodafone are doing a 12 month contract with free phone and if you go via quidco you could get another £150 (at the moment) off. And quidco have a couple of codes to get free bluetooth headset and/or 1gb memory card.

see hotukdeals here.

A few mixed review on the phone.
