Can I transfer contacts from locked simm card onto new simm card?

Is there anyway I can copy/transfer my contact details from my first simm card onto my new simm card that's with another mobile provider?

Unfortunately I didn't realise it had to be done before my original simm card was locked and my existing phone number transferred. I was hoping there was a way to just get the contact details transferred.

a phone shop will defo do it for you if your with one of the big phone companies they may do it free? carphone warehouse defo do this but charge for it.

It's a Vodafone simm card that got locked by vodofone when I switched to O2 and took my number with me
