Mostly Harmless

hi,anyone having trouble completing down loading update i keep getting error 8024200D i have tried and tried but will not install this last update can anyone help please,regards peter.

I also got this error on my Lap Top. Happens when i try to manually install SP1 which it won't do automatically for some bizarre reason...

hi,the update is KB947562 recomended 27/05/08 just installed vista 2 days ago,if you can help thanks,peter

Try installing the standalone update from here Your system is missing some vital updates and SP1 is very picky!
If this doesn't work you may need to check your activation / key codes. You can re-instate the original key code by just typing it in and then re-running activation.

If this doesn't work then it's a reinstall I'm afraid.

Just craptacular....
