just ring o2 customer services, unless you got it via carphone wharehouse, in which case yo u need to give 1 months writen notice (provided yourpast the original contract date)

it differs depending on your provider, if you got it direct from o2 then get the number from here http://www.o2.co.uk/abouto2/contactus/ remember there are different numbers for the high street vendors & the online vendor (even tho they are both o2)

but thats assuming you got it direct from o2, if not you need to contact the third party that you signed up with.

Hi,

If you want to be absolutely sure that your contract is cancelled I have a surefire method that will put your mind at rest. Request a PAC from the network and port your number onto a free PAYG SIM on a different network (there are plenty of them around).

By doing it that way, your old network/SP cannot justifiably claim that they never received your cancellation letter as the physical process of the port automatically ceases your old contract.

The only uncertainty is whether or not the network charges for a full 30 days from the PAC request in lieu of your notice, regardless of when the port actually occurs. Some networks do, some (apparently) don't...but that's a small price to pay for the certainty of closure and it's certainly no more expensive than the cancellation letter route (where 30 days notice is required regardless of the network).
