Festival line-ups 2011

Will probably sticky this, anyway...

Isle of Wight festival has announced a few headliners, obviously learning from their approach last year of trickling the names over four or five months after they go on sale not being a good idea.

Pulp, Kasabian, Foo Fighters and Kings of Leon.

I quite fancy seeing that line up, but with potential exam resits and being just before Glastonbury I'm probably out.

They had better headliners this year in Paul McCartney, The Strokes and Jay-Z, in that they haven't been everywhere before.

For those headliners I'm seeing the Foos at MK Bowl beginning of July (plus probably Glastonbury if they are there as expected).

I've seen Kings of Leon a few times over the past few years and didn't like half Only By The Night and unfortunately the new album is just like the half I didn't like of Only By The Night.

Kasabian I've seen 3 times last year aswell.

Pulp I'm not massive fan, but are 99.99% at Glastonbury (possibly as headliner aswell) although must be noted they are not headling at Isle of Wight and are playing before Foo Fighters although the efests guy seems to believe they are the most expensive act they've ever paid Shocked Which is madness considering the acts playing this year and previous years.

Im going to IoW this year seen as it looks like Ive been skipped (again Angry ) for working at Glasto. Didnt get to do any festival last year due to empty Glasto promises and my lads GCSE's

Have never KOL live, Pulp will be good, Foo's - dont think I need to say anything about them Winking and Kasabian are one of my lads favourite live bands so he will be more than happy on Christmas morning! (as long as his AS exams dont clash!)

RHCP are also rumoured as they are doing a bit of the European festival circuit.

James, Im not sure about the Foo's playing Glasto - its rumoured they will do 'normal' concerts inbetween IoW and MK but we all know these things can change!.
I still reckon Bon Jovi will headline one of the Glasto nights, especially seen as they are playing Hard Rock Calling the same weekend.

Apparently that's all changed now.

Kasabian, Kings of Leon and Foo Fighters are England festival exclusives to the Isle of Wight so Foo's look unlikely to be at Glastonbury now.

The efests guy says that Bon Jovi are not currently booked, but have declared an interest in playing.

Dammit he'll be in the Big Top, probably at the same time as something I want to see at the main stage. Sad
