Looking forward to the debut album by VCMG. Its a stripped down techno affair from Vince Clarke (Erasure) and Martin L Gore (Depeche Mode)

if they were playing here, I'd see them, but would have to travel Sad

the cd is good, listened to it a few times, not as good as This is the Day... but better than some of the other CDs if you prefer guitars to their techno ish stuff.

Hmmm Nottingham on the 21st is the closest. But the Presidents of the USA are playing around then. The gig I would fancy is on the 16th. Think they would win over.

It came out on Monday. There is a deluxe version with a second CD of live stuff. Worth the small amount extra.

Glad you are liking it. The gig was stunning. I've never been to the corn exchange in Cambridge so was not sure what it would be like. It's a great small venue. Good acoustic. And they made the most of it. It was bloody loud, but in a good way. Both me and the other half lost some of our hearing till the next morning. I'm having to think, but I reckon it's the best light show I have seen. I'll post a couple of vids from the gig. Not by me and the sound is not great but it gives an idea of the lights.

They played a good mix of old and new and went proper old school acid in one section.

On a side note they have announced some more dates in December. So if you fancied it there may be one near you. Tickets go on sale on Friday I believe.
