Les Petits Pois
posted by Juls on Thursday, 23rd July 2009, 23:24

May sound rather strange but rumour has it (aka Liam Lynch has admitted some bits on his twitter) about a group which may well be going under this alias.

Its quite a 'minor' collaberation (sp) of a certain Dave Grohl, Josh Homme and John Paul Jones..................WOW is all I can say Grinning

They may be doing some European festivals, Rock en Seine included, but we all know how the rumour mill can go with this sort of thing (Sonisphere next weekend would be good for me!)

From NME

Quote:
Dave Grohl, Josh Homme and John Paul Jones have named their their collaborative project and are set to make their live debut.

The Foo Fighters, Queens Of The Stone Age and Led Zeppelin men, who have been recording together in Los Angles, have announced they will be called Them Crooked Vultures.

The trio have launched a website Themcrookedvultures.com and can be followed on Twitter at Twitter.com/crookedvultures.

According to Stereogum, the trio will play live at Chicago's Metro venue on Sunday (August 9).

Meanwhile NME.COM understands that UK appearances are being considered for the near future, while an album is also expected to follow too.

I'm invovled. Just hope it's not going to involve a misson down Saaarth.

Just waiting for the tickets to go on sale now.

It may even cause an impulse trip to America (ala going Vegas for the Foos last year), if they announce that they're playing New York/Philidelphia in early October, as I'm half tempted to go out anyway as Bruce Springsteen is playing the last gig at the Giant's stadium and got a few mates out there at the same time.

Really shouldn't even be considering stuff like that, but I know I'll get excited and book first, ask questions later.

Very, very clever what they are doing Winking

Every few hours 'their' google earth moves towards what seems to be their next place for a concert. Heading towards UK/Europe.

Basically it's looking like they're at Reading/Leeds isn't it.

Looking at the line ups the Radiohead day has quite a big gap compared to the other days.

Bastards if it is, I'm going to a wedding that day. The only alternative would be to get a Sunday ticket off Ebay and make it down, but it's not going to happen.

Hope I'm wrong and they're playing another day instead.
