Evolution by John Powell is amazing as well, especially the tracks 'The Amoeba Emerges' and 'To Go Where No Man Has Gone Before'.

John Powell is easily one of the best composers working in Hollywood today.

PS. Does anyone know where to find the full 2CD score to Die Another Day? I can't find it in the *ahem* usual places.

Michael Nyman is my favourite s/t composer. So many great albums, but 'The Draughman's contract' is my absolute favourite, with 'the piano' and 'gattaca' as runners up.

Some other favourites:

Jurrasic Park (1st one)
Lord of the Rings (1st one)
Human Traffic - crap film, cool s/t
Kill Bills - awesome
Donnie Darko - what can i say
Fever Pitch (just for the '..here comes Thomas, charging through the midfield...' audio as much as anything else Grinning )

...look into my eyes

Another one has to be Rudy starring Sean Astin of Lord of the Rings fame, This ones by the late Jerry Goldsmith again, but one of the tracks was also used in the teaser trailer for Spirit : Stallion Of The Cimarron, That really bugs me hearing a piece of music in a trailer and not knowing what its out of, thanks be for t'internet

This is one of my favourite soundtracks. It was from the Documovie 'Chariots of the Gods'
& was way ahead of it's time for the early 70s. The LP/CD is almost impossible to buy. Its called CHARIOTS OF THE GODS? THE PETER THOMAS SOUND ORCHESTRA. Here is a site that also has the soundtrack on but in low quality mono.

K-Pax Soundtrack by Edward Shearmur is an excellent score, along the lines of the Solaris, remake but I love anything by Cliff Martinez.

The Star Trek Deep Space 9 - Emisary soundtrack is a very solid disc and considering the TV budget of the time impressive.
