Sky + Pausing and Rewinding

When i first had Sky + HD fitted i could watch a programme, pause it and then rewind back to the part of the programme i had wandered into when i turned that channel on, ie rewinding past the point i had paused at.

Now however when i press rewind it just pauses the channel rather than going back to the beginning of when i turned the channel on.

Any idea why....assuming that all makes sense

Checked the options? There should be one to specify how much it caches to let you rewind like that.

instead of pressing rewind, try pressing record. Then see if it has the start of the program.
But it does sound like the rewind setting isn't long enough.

Yeah, there is a setting in the Sky+ settings section, where you can opt to cache however much time you want. I have mine set at one hour, so I can almost always rewind to the beginning of something if I've missed it.

Maybe an update or something has switched this function off? Go into the settings and look for it, then wack it up as high as you can.

Good call people was turned off, now set to an hour. Again this site proves to be the most helpful online
