I also have a question - do you think it is safe/healthy to keep changing the firmware - to convert back and forth to make this device an NTSC device when I want and then a PAL when I need it for that (or divx) - Any thoughts.

I have similar problem. I have a region 1 player that I bought, but now I live in Germany. I would like to update my player with the Region 2 firmware. Could u please send it to me at: mb0908@hotmail.com? I would really appreciate it! After you updated it, were you also able to make it region free? I was reading that you can only make the European version of the dvd-r120 region free, not the us version. Thanks so much!

Hey Guys, I also have a DVD R100 and have tried two hacks without success When I try to put the code in (3,8,7,6,7) all that happens is the channels change on the TV. Am I supposed to be doing something else? I've tried this repeatedly and really want to find something that will make my DVD region free as I have a lot of NTSC disc as well as Region 4. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,

I have a Samsung DVD recorder HR720 with an 80Gb Hard drive inside.
I would like to know if is possible to upgrade the hard disk or something else by myself.
Removing the HD from the Samsung Recorder and trying to read it on my PC I see that Windows XP doesn't recognize the drive. Do you know any tips?
Do I need any flash upgrade?
