By the way is this version PAL-only, or does it have an option to switch to NTSC?

Hi Tommi, would you please send me the files too? If you can throw in the instructions on how to installed them I'd be very thankful too. I just bought the dvd recorder to be able of recording my children vhs films and so far i found that
1) the recorder is ntsc only and (living in argentina and brazil) my movies are Pal-N so i cant record them

2) The recorder is US zone 1 and the mentioned hack doesn't work so I can't see most of my DVD's!
Not a very bright buy on my part, I hope switching the firmware to uk 2 will allow me to at least play zone 4 dvd's through the hacks

Hi folks i have advdr100 and the hack worked well first time, however it never came up with the r2 code on screen so do it anyway and stick in a region 1 disc.

does it work on a dvdr122 does anyone know as i have friends who want to buy

I hope so one day someone will make a hacked firmware and I'll be able to watch divX films with subtitles(with this FW I can watch subtitles only if they have the same name as film...)...but ok. it's a recorder...that's most important...

I also have PIONEER dvd model 470(with firmware upgrade)...it's excellent!!! very fast door opening, very fast disk reading, divX perfect (subtites working no matter what format and name)...no advertisements from the begging of dvd(it jumps directly to the longest video)...I would highly recommend it to anyone!!!
