How the ASK WESTY column works, ALL users please read in

Right then,

Already i have had an absolute shed load of emails with all manner of questions, this is good and i don't mind answering, as long as you don't mind waiting as naturally i can't answer them all at once! If you have a specific question and need to get a specific response, then by all means email me and i'll sort it out.

Now, as i mentioned in the previous thread opener, the column will work as such;

*I will monitor the Hardware forum over the week, for everyones reference i will use week numbers to denote the columns. SO, for example, this week is Week 45, so say this weeks most popular topic was all in one systems, i would collate a bunch of questions, (kind of like a Q+A session), and turn them into a column with all the answers and some recommends. The thread would start, ASK WESTY COLUMN - WEEK 45 NOW ONLINE, and i would provide a link.

*Occasionaly i will create my own column idea on a subject that i feel needs talking about, if you have any ideas, then email me through the link on the Ask Westy page.

If anyone feels this is a bit naff, let me know, but this is the best way for me to manage the column for the time being!

Thanks for reading,

Westy

I know this is probably in the wrong bit, but its bugging me. I posted this in another thread, but nobody answered it (sob...sob). I've just cut and paste.

"I have a Panasonic A160EB that I am very happy with. But here is the problem. I have over 100 DVD's and it appears on all of them. When a scene is dark, diagonal lines appear on very black surfaces. At first I thought it was maybe interference from wires or something, but no. The lines don't appear on all dark/black scenes, just some. If a scene was black with no lines and it changes to a scene that is also black sometimes the lines magically appear. I'm going off my head trying to sort it. I have had my player for 2 years. Hopefully its not knackered because I love it. And the lines aren't terrible, but they are slightly noticeable on dark scenes. Any help would be brilliant."

Westy I have just bought a Marantz SR4300 GOLD reciever from QED for 280, its the only reciever that I could find that support's DD/DTS6.1, DPL2 and has 2 coax in and 1 out.

Is this a good bit of kit?

also WHERE DO BABIES COME FROM?

Brucey,

The photo is a joke! Taken at my works xmas party 2 years ago.

Dukey, the 4300 is a super piece of kit, though i would have gone for the 7300 for £450 from QED UK as that is one superb machine.

Babies?From the sack of the man that laid the egg, that grew inside the woman who gave birth to the baby that sprouted from a little sperm from the man who emptied the sack into the babies mother. Rock on!
