right pay attention!!! power up dvd make sure there is NO DISC IN TRAY,press pause on your remote,now key in nos 314159,you will now see coDe on dvd player now you enter region ie 1 or 2 ,but i have used 0 because it is easier for both regions and ,this is something many machines will not do ,it plays region code enhanced discs from this auto region switch setup.right now once again press pause and then power off for a few seconds and hey presto MULTI REGION.(warning if you do not see the coDe displayed when doing this then im afraid the firmware is not multiregion GOOD LUCK.

Again, lemme correct you here Frenchy!!
It doesn't matter whether there is a disc in the tray or not, just ensure the player is in "STOP" mode.
i.e. the player manufacturers screen is visible, not the discs.

Oh, and NO player from AIWA OR LG displays "coDe" the CORRECT display is "COdE - - "

the lg 500 seris players need a cdr hack to them i have the file
to do it i can email it to you with instructions as i can understan the website to download it has been taken off but i kept it for me brother's player .
