philips bdp 2500 region hack

Harmless

I'm thinking of buying this blu-ray player cos it's only £77 at asda but i've got loads of region 1 dvds,is there a hack that will work with this player ?.Does the same hack as the one that works with the 3000 work on this.

Harmless

1)No disc in tray
2)press "HOME" key on remote control
3)press number keys "1389310"

This hack works with dvds only the player will not play region (A) blu ray tiles
to check if the hack worked you have to do this:
1.power on the dvd player (no disc inside)
2.press home key
3.press 8520
the hack does work but will take a few goes to get it to work

Please be aware that after applying this hack the player is dvd region free but blu ray region is still reported as "B".
