can any body please help me with a multi region code for an LG RHT397H dvd recorder tia john

Piece of advise rather than have title 'wanted multi region hack' just put the make and model and then in the message write that you need a hack.

You could try other LG hacks
e.g.
RHT497
1. Hack is the same as model LG RHT297H
2. Switch the player on
3. When ON hold down CLEAR on remote and PROG Down on the front panel for 6 seconds
4. A list of codes appear
5. Change OP6 from aa to 8e
6. Press Enter and then menu/list on your remote
7. Your player will reboot
