Hack for LG DP181

Hi there,

Does anybody have a hack for the LG DP181 portable model? Half of my DVDs are region 1 and I can only play region 2s at the moment . Would be very grateful if anyone can help me with this.

would you likey this one?

Power on and open lid. Press 0 (zero) three times on your remote to bring up the region code menu. Enter your preferred region (0 to make it region free) and confirm your selection by pressing the PAUSE button.

Thanks, I'd already tried this one and it just doesn't work. Must have tried it about 40 times now!

and download the file 5000 this should do it.

make up the cd with any cd writing program ecept direct cd it doent work!!

This hack happens to work for the LG DP771 portable player, too.

Follow the instructions in the ReadMe file on the download. I didn't unzip the RMTM0000 file before burning it on my iBook G4, and it worked just fine.
