Oh Yes we will Happy

Just so everyone knows what that post is about here are the facts ....

As you all know the Philips DVD players are hackable using a One-for-All remote and learning the Service Code ... this code was secret and only in the possession of DVD Chippers until Haggis found out the code and posted it on the Internet .....

As we know One-for-All remotes are available all around the UK most famously from Argos .... but Philips players are available worldwide ... there are still occasions where it may be must easier for the customer to order the chip online that get hold of a One-For-All remote ....

Many months ago someone posted from Luxemburg to this board asking about hacking their Philips DVD player .... I suggested he buy a chip ( he may not have been able to source a One-For-All there !!) Haggis hit the roof and the rest is history ....

On a similar topic my policy is to not offer a chip for a player that can be hacked with it's OWN REMOTE unless the chip I supply has extra features such as Macro off .... we do still supply chips for players that can be hacked with a ONE-For-All remote as the customer has the right to choose whether he buys a chip or a remote .....

Cheers for your Input Haggis and giving me the opportunity to post my views but please dont turn this into a slagging match ... we've been there dont that and worn the T-shirt Happy come back with a reasonable reply and we'll leave this subject here

Have you noticed I have kept my promis to never answer questions about philips players ?? not just here but on that other Forum you frequent too !!

Big thumbs up to Steve from me. He has produced a very cheap Macrovision mod for the Wharfedale M5, which is available to Area 450 (http://www.area450.co.uk/defeat_macrovision.htm) visitors at a bargain price.

Keep up the good work, mate
