How to adjust a SONY DVD player to be multi regional.

Harmless

Hi, can anyone help. I am in the UK and have a Sony DVP NS300 and I want to use it as a multi region, i.e. to be able to play American DVDs. Is there anything I can do to make the necessary adjustments.
