Philips DVDR 880 - multiregion hack?!?
posted by DLT on Tuesday, 10th December 2002, 19:10

Mostly Harmless

I've tried the codes for the multiregion hack but it won't let me make the dvd player region free, I have to keep swapping it using the relevant codes (Play 159 - 121 212 etc). I've even tried using a one4all6 remote.
I don't really mind this although I would prefer not to have to but, I read on another site somewhere that after 25 swaps it locks on the last region......can anybody tell me if this is true or is it just myth?

Also has anybody got any advice on cracking the codes for region free..

Competent

go into the players menu and change it from a dvd recorder to dvd player then do the hack with the oneforall remote as this will not lock after 25 swaps, and then change it back to dvd recorder

hope this helps
