I know none of the hacks on this site are guaranteed to work and all the rest of it..but I have just bought a DVD3E after downloading the hack posted on this site. However I can't get it to work can anyone offer another hack or some extra advice?

Basically, I don't get past the first bit. I unplug my player, plug it in, turn it on (Standby on the machine) hold the Play and Stop buttons but I can hold them all night and the "No Disc" message never disappears!!

The reset works OK though (i.e. holding FF and RW for 3 secs...).

Don't think it's something I could be doing wrong, I have hacked a number of players using this site before (including Samsungs) can anyopne help me this time?

Once you get the "SELECT A LANGUAGE" screen appear by holding FF & REW, select the language you want, wait until no disc appears, then using the remote control press:- subtitle, repeat, 3,8,7,6,7, 9,open,standby. That's it.

Thks, grateful for the reply, but when do I get the "SELECT A LANGUAGE" screen?

If I hold FF and REW I get the reset screen which shows the firmware version, not the language screen. Is that the DVD1E hack?

Richie B how did you get on? I want to buy one of these combo babies but ideally I'd like to know I can hack it before I buy it.

Hey Scumbag, I still can't do it. Tried it at the weekend, still no joy. I've hacked the DVD1E before and a couple of other Samsungs but this elusive DVD3E just won't crack!

I unplug the machine, plug it in, press the Standby button, hold FF and Play\Pause I don't get a "Select language Screen".

If I hold the Play\Pause and Stop buttons (the hack listed) the NO DISC never disappears.

I am at my wits end!!! Could it be that I've got a model with a different firmware? I'll check the version (holding FF and REW does work!) and update a thread...

Check this thread - Samsung's Online store are actually marketing this as a multi region player

Trying the cold start, do you get "OK" on screen.
