NEW ARGOS CATALOGUE

Harmless

Just looked in the new catalogue and have seen 4 DVD players that are under £100. I was wanting to get one for the bedroom but am in need of one that plays CDR's, VCD & SVCD.

My mate has an Alba that wont play any make of CDR (tried about 10 different makes). Does anybody out there know which one will play CDR's. The models I have seen are;

Alba DVD108, Bush DVD2023, Akai DVP3140 & Ferguson DVD400

Mostly Harmless

Bush 2023 will play CDR's and VCD's. I dont have a region crack for it yet. To play VCD's you need to load the disc and keep pressing the goto button on the remote until a pull down menu appears, you might have to repeat this until menu shows, then press the menu button then press play, the vcd should work. I have only just bought this dvd player so if I find anything else out I wil let you know. As for CDR's I assume they play ok I only have audio tracks on mine and they play ok.. How much is the DVD player in Argos?

go for the akai model i bought one last week and it plays the lot no probbs
