And I thought we couldn`t drive in snow

An icy road in Utah, I presume a lot of this is made worse by the fact almost everyone there drives an automatic.

Even so, the sheer volume of ineptitude going on here is astounding!

Skip to 3m and watch till the end. From what I can tell, only egos and bonnets were bruised.

Talk about not driving according to road conditions. It's quite easy even for your average american... slow down!!

During my couple of years driving a bus, during the snow we had a year back i lost count of the times that i watched cars career towards me and barely miss the front of the bus and then get abuse shouted at me for being on the correct side of the road and stationary! - negotiating a roundabout i had a woman with her toddler loose in the back of her car brake too late and sail in front of me and up the dirt centre of the roundabout for some reason i was to blame lol

Man that is a sobering vid tho.....

I wish I had a pound for every time the word 'sue' was used by people in this video.
Remember folks, the country where a woman sued Winnebago.
Because she thought setting cruise control meant she could go in the back and make a sandwich....

Rob, stuff like that was an everyday occurance, kids on bikes turning off pavments right into you wheels, having bricks lobbed at the front windscreen and side windows, one shattered all over a mum and her baby, abuse, been spat at, assaulted by 15 yr olds.

Snow days were always a nightmare, with the schools closed cos the poor teachers couldnt get their (?) the kiddy winkies would assemble mob handed wearing ski masks and pelt the bus with snowballs so you were unable to see out the front, worst was when they put stones inside the snowballs, of course it was just fun.... its no wonder i packed the job in!

It does look like it is snow over sheet ice, not just a fall of snow.

Bad driving or car design doesn't help.
Do American autos allow you to manually select a lower gear, for engine braking, like European autos?
They just look like they're all relying on their brakes, whereas Europeans would select a lower gear manually and trundle down.
