Yup, exercising and eating properly...I suspest my body might be going into shock from a lack of e numbers...it did this last time I tried to loose weight, and eventually sorted itself out lol
Almost one month in and I've lost 18lbs so far (down to 15st4lbs today).
The loss is obviously slowing down somewhat but still moving in a positive direction.
Going to try and keep the healthy eating going in February at least and then see how it goes.
Also, now that a lot of my DIY jobs have been completed I should have some time to use my treadmill as well so the exercise should also help.
Yes, but my scales and I are no longer talking ![]()
I always do this, somehow manage to put on weight within the first couple of weeks, then start losing it. I really do think my body goes into a kind of shock, coz I have been eating so much junk and notexercising in the evening, that it thinks I'm not going to feed it and make it exercise to death lol.
It will catch up with itself (or there's going to be trouble lol)
How are you getting on Fluff?
43 days in and I'm now down 25lbs (11.3Kgs) from what I started at.
Still apparently need to lose another 8lbs or so to hit the recommended 25 on the BMI charts though!
Having the odd day off (like today) where I cooked toad in the hole (along with buttery mashed potato and some killer gravy
) - followed by carrot cake...but for the most part I'm sticking to healthy eating.
Stil sticking to it, and got down to 12st 3lbs last week, so lost what I put on and a little bit more ![]()
Had a week of no exercise this week though, had a stomach bug which although I got over quite quickly I pulled a muscle in my back and have just felt wiped out all week. Weighing Wednesday with some friends who are also trying to shift a bit, so I'll find out then how badly its hit me.
You're doing really well Miles
I have too little self control to loose it that quickly, the odd day off for you is definitly allowed when you're going that fast ![]()
Also been hampered by the fact that I'm determined to quit smoking this year too, so that by my birthday I'm gonna be properly healthy, and have managed to cut down from about 20 a day to about 5, with the intention of quitting next wednesday![]()

Wow Miles, that's good going on the 18lbs in a month and 25lbs to now.
Fair play, the one thing that's a killer is just realising that the final bit is just a nightmare as tends to level off and become a lot harder to lose even a 1lb a week at one point.
I lost 10lbs in 2 days last week, but that was due to sickness bug. Usually obviously that goes straight back on but I have retained 5-6lbs off that which is good as I haven't been able to lose that in ages
I'm doing half marathon in a couple of months, so really need to get my training going. I am relatively fit but have never done a long distance run like this, so it should be fun (but also help my weight loss/getting in shape).

Just thought i'd post my news, hit a personal goal today 16.5 stone which i'm pretty chuffed at
from an initial 21 stone in late october last year, iv'e quite a fair bit of help with the op an all, but forget iv'e had it done these days to be honest, dont have the same relationship with food any more, its more like " i should eat now" as opposed to "whats in the fridge"
Hope the rest on the weight loss are doing ok!
