Because liquid nitro is available in every corner shop and you can really trust your kids with it.... Winking

Still got it on a few formats, the latest of which was the PSN free download after the hacking mess but that version (WipeoutHD IIRC) is unbelievably ridiculously hard so I hardly ever play it Cool

I'd have trusted myself with it when I was a kid.

Actually, you have a point there.

There is nothing to beat the real scalalextrix, where the cars keep flying off at the bends, and you spend more time on your knees replacing the car in the slot, than playing the game

Fake in what way?

Quantum levitation using liquid nitrogen has been well documented this year. This is just a more stylish spin on, for example, this:

There are a number of things that just don't look right to me - primarily the "vapour" coming off the racers looking rather CGI, as do the racers themselves.  There's no sign of frost on the racers or on the filler device.  The whole business of filling the racers with liquid nitrogen doesn't look right either.  Ultimately why not just dunk them in the stuff like the hockey puck on your video?

If you do a bit of googling, there is more than a suggestion the video is a viral to promote Wipeout2048 for the PSVita.

It doesn't however stop it being a really cool (ha!) video and a shedload of "oh, if only it were true!!"

I'm with you Mark - and the 'steering' around bends doesn't seem right.
Sure, there is superconductivity etc. but what's 'quantum' about it all?
I'm not sure about all the 'charging up with liquid nitrogen' just like a cigarette ligher either.

Nice video though - for whichever purpose that may be.
