I only found out recently that he had cancer. A truly sad day

He knew for a long time that he was terminal.

Sad loss of a genius bloke.

I always liked the story he told when in Northern Ireland he was stopped at a road block by men in balaclavas. They quizzed him: "Protestant or Catholic?" he replied "Jewish atheist". Their response "Protestant Jewish atheist or Catholic Jewish atheist?"
