Unusual Phobias....do you have one?

I have a strange one......i am scared of walking by lorry tyres

When i was in high school around 14 years old, i was walking to school and stopped in front of a lorry, i was amazed how big the tyres were.....bigger then me! As i was standing there admiring these huge wheels, the tyre exploded in front of me!

My face was pelted by bits of tyre and i was deaf for about 20mins, people were looking at me probably wondering if i caused it or why i was still walking.

I can feel that bang and force until this day, i actually   refused a JCB license in my old work place because i expected the tyres to explode.

I won't walk by a bin lorry or anything of that size if i can help it.

That's qiute unusual till you hear the rest of your story...the it makes quite a lot of sense!

I'm scared of mirrors in the dark...I remember watching candyman with my friend in the dark when I was far too oung and being pretty scared, then my friends next door neighbour started doing something to the wall the other side (at like 3 in the morning, excellent time for DIY), never been more scared in my life and was convinced Caandyman was coming, made even worse by my friend doing it, and although I know now it obviously isn't real, I still won' risk it...hubby often wakes up to find thec bathroom cabinet open coz I've been up in the nigh and couldn't stand to go to the loo with the mirror visible!

Floating off into space in an EVA suit with 4 hours of oxygen and no means of propulsion

Chris Moyles recently had his 'face your fears' week, where the team, obviously, faced their fears. Heights, enclosed spaces, dogs, flying, and spiders. They spoke about how they discovered eacjh other's fears for the event, when it occurred to me, I don;t really have a phobia (Irrational fear). I'm scared of getting eaten by tigers, or falling off a cliff, onto a spike, but those fears aren't really what you'd call 'irrational'

Just wasps and dentists for me, neither of which are remotely unusual. I've never ever been stung by a wasp (or a bee, I like bees) so perhaps that makes the fear unusual.

I have the usual phobias of spiders, wasps, bees etc. Anything with too many legs and sudden, unpredictable movements. There was a massive bee in here a few weeks ago making a very angry buzzing sound (much more harsh than I have heard before). I was jumping at the slightest little thing that moved for about a week afterward.

Also, not really a phobia but I can't stand the texture of sponges (your ordinary kitchen variety). Just the thought of them makes me shudder.

Clowns, its not the fact they are clowns its all the make up they put on, yuk!

Spiders with big bodies and little legs, normal spiders don't bother me at all but when you get a fat one waddling around your kitchen I turn into a wimp.

All the best

Gerald.

Spiders and wasps for me. I like bees. I had a big fat bumble bee land on my hand the other day while I was sat out side. I just let him chill there for 10 mins. He was nice.

Okay, that's definitely bringing this topic back on-topic. Happy

How do you wash! Take make-up off, etc? Are you smelly? Sad
