I don't really think this fits into TV forum or hardware or something - but it's pretty general...
Basically the back of my Sky HD remote (battery compartment) is broken...so I need a new part - but I don't really want to spend £18-25 on a whole new remote and all that reporgramming numbers jazz...can i buy a battery door online somewhere - I've tried to find one but no joy...
Guys?

I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which i'm dying are the best i've ever had.
Black tape comes to mind, to hold the battery door on, till you figure out something permenant.
I can talk, I still have selotape on one of sons TV controller, after a quick fix to hold the battery door on, and its now three years later, he he.
Don't use tape, it leaves a mess on the outside of the remote casing.
Get a big blob of blu-tak and sandwich it between the batteries and the back casing flatteing it down to suit.
Then go hunting Fleabay for a broken "spares or repairs" remote and use the back from it ![]()

7dayshop sell a new remote for 5.99.
you could just buy one & use the back, keeping the remote as a spare.......![]()
Might also be able to get a broken one off ebay (well with a non-broken back) and swap that?

Pat, that's a Sky+ remote, not HD. It'll work fine except it's older software revision and won't control newer TVs with certain remote codes.
