New headphones - pair for the gym and pair for in the house watching movies...

Currently using a rubbish pair of philips headphones for everything so think it's about time I invested in a couple of decent pairs of headphones.

I need a pair for the gym that go over the ears and maybe connect around the neck and also a decent set of (not sure what you call them) over the head completely cover your ears pair for in the house watching movies.

Haven't really decided on a price range yet so like always I'd like to find a nice balance between quality/cost.

If the gym ones could double up for everyday use i.e. walking to work then bonus!  If not, I'll need a 3rd pair for that!

What do people on here use and would you recommend them or go with something else?

Cheers
Ross

one of the speakers will always fail in these, BUT, they are the only ones that stay in my ears so I always, always stick with them

I favour these for me runnings http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sennheiser-PMX-80-Sport-II/dp/B001EZTJ34&tag=myrev09-21
Good bass, good sound, very secure - neckband works well (best I've ever had and I've had s**tloads of 'sports' headphones).

Amazon shows mixed reviews which I'm quite surprised by.

I have bought dozens of earphones over the years, some really expensive one's and tried loads of cheaper one's that my brother get's from his Chinese supplier, most of the expensive earphone's that i have tried have been very disappointing and i have found some better sounding cheaper earphone's.

If you are looking for great sound quality budget earphone's i would recommend the Klipsch image X1 earphones for running or the gym and the Sennheiser hd 485 for home.

I looked at those ones Alfie but read a review that said if you wear a huddy while running the loose hood can keep knocking the neck section and loosen the ear pieces.

Looking at the Sennheiser HD range for home. Cheers guys.
