last I heard on the news, they said it was all peaceful and going well, i guess not now

Our Japanese student who survived the earthquake, left today & went to London for the weekend before going back to Japan, what will he think of our country now? His weekend will be spoilt. Not to mention the people who work in the Santander bank etc, who will be out of a job for a while. The news stated Anarchists & Socialist workers party as 2 of the groups, hardly right wing so Lefty thugs seems about right.

I do hope that the reason the police where ignoring a lot of them when they were spray painting the police vans and smashing them with sticks and bats was because they had undercover officers in the crowd ready to track and arrest them later.

I believe it's the anarchy direct action lot, hence the anarchy symbols. I'm not sure I'd describe them as lefty or righty. Which one is anarchy?

I've always thought of Left & Right wing groups as one & the same in there own way. Same as Communist & Fascist governments, in reality there is not a lot to chooses between the 2 of them.

Agreed. It's a shame that whenever a serious protest march is arranged, the same old trouble makers seem to turn out for the crack of it. Shocking news, and NOT down to the legitimate people who organised the March.

Not long back from the march. Shocked at what I'm seeing on the TV. From when we arrived in London at 9.30 this morning we saw nothing of the trouble that I'm now watching...
