It has to be the latter, surely? Mrs made me watch an episode the other day and I was p***ing myself at times.Tongues firmly in cheek throughout.Prior to watching I thought Spence was genuinely an insufferable twat, but I think he's simply playing a character like Sacha Baron Cohen. Brilliant voice-over as well.

That show's on Sky1,

Usually I find OTT camp/gay characters annoying, but I do find him ammusing when I've catch him as a guest on another show.

Yes, Sky One on Friday. He is annoying, but in a Bruno sort of way. The way they take the p*** out of that Andrew Stone and his 'Starman' group is most amusing.

I couldn't decide if he is a spoof Bruno/Ali G style character since I first saw a trailer for the first documentary series "Pinapple Studios" last year. If its a character then the guy that's playing him is a genius - if not then he's one of the wierd and wonderful characters that this country seems to find and put on tv.
