Premier League TV football choice 'upheld' by EU advice

Now i know pubs pay a lot to be able to broadcast Sky

Will this mean less money in TV rights especially for the Premiership

Be interesting to see how many start switching over. Thing is though, isn't the commentary in greek if it is over there? Or is it a generic English commentary feed they carry?

For 4 years I've used foreign cards, some have English commentary some not. 90% of those that don't have the match on one of the radio channels that can be used for commentary. Not only do most of the foreign channels have the PPV & the other games that sky have, but they also cover the 3.00pm Saturday slots as well. I hope sky are sued for billions over this.

But won't this just mean the "other" EU countries "agreements" with the clubs will be nulled on the next renewal and made to either up their rates to similar to Sky/ESPN or that Sky/ESPN will move into the EU market and become the main content providers?

If Sky lose out on this it just means the rest of us who don't have Sports will end up footing the bill with one of their "unavoidable price increases" Cool

It's not a definite.
It's only an 'advisory' comment.
The court/s could still go either way.

The pub landlord won the appeal today, which will make things interesting! I'm not sure it'll affect home users, but it might mean a sudden decrease in pub revenue for sky,

if SKY weren't so b100dy greedy nobody would mind... i told them we were leaving a few weeks ago, and hey presto half price for next 6 months!

If it really beomes this easy and SKY lose their appeal, i can see us switching in the very near future...
