Satellite cable?

I need to get about 1metre of satellite cable to extend my existing satellite cable and enable me to move my sky HD box slightly now that I have moved the tv stand. Trouble is everywhere that stocks them (tesco, b&q etc) are only selling it in 5m or 10m with the ends on at silly prices. I only need the cable as already have the ends, does anyone know where I can get just a metre or so cheap?

If you were near Bournemouth I would give it to you. I don't think you will get a meter anywhere, unless you can find someone who will cut a length off, do Wilkinsons do that? You will lose a tiny bit of signal.

Local TV repair shop?

I consider myself an optimist, albeit an optimist with cynical tendencies and a dark side that Lucifer himself would find a little creepy. (Perhaps you’ve noticed.) You don’t normally associate cynicism with an upbeat pov. But I have exactly that combination and will defend it.

Never has so little had to be explained by me to so many so often.

I'm sure local places like B&Q would as well. Also Maplin maybe?

Cheers guys, I will try Wilkinsons. I tried B&Q but they only had pre-packed 10metres.

You must be the only person in the world who does not have a box full of coax leads kicking about.

As others have said though, wilkos or mailing.

Doc.

It isn't ordinary aerial coax you need a different one for sat stuff, but surely you know that, Doc?

This website is a mine of useful information for all technical matters concerning TV and sell stuff too: http://www.satcure.co.uk/tech/cable.htm

Same stuff, different ends. Course, there are differing qualities. Unless you have paid for better stuff, it will just be your every day coax running from your dish to your wall.

Doc.

Yeah but isn't it double screened something or other for Sat and not for TV?
