I know some people hate obit threads, but I didn't want to let this one pass.

Stephen J Cannell, creator of the A-Team, co-creator of Jim Rockford and nearly forty other shows has passed away at the age of 69 from complications associated with melanoma.

A prolific writer (450 tv scripts, 14 novels) he was the bloke ripping a sheet of paper out of the typewriter seen at the end of every episode of the A-Team.

He also played himself in Nathan Fillion's latest series Castle.

Can't remember all the great stuff he's responsible for.

RIP Stephen.
