Mills, I reckon you'd like twitter for all the band updates etc - Foo's are uploading great little teases about recording their new album at the mo.

Its good for festival updates etc, I won a free wristband into the VIP section at V last year through their 'treasure trail' they set up.

Sminty Im with you though, I do stalk BUT I figure if its stuff they dont want us to read then they wouldnt post it. FB has become a nightmare but with the silly shifts me, and most of my friends I socialise with, work its the perfect way of getting things organised and arranged.

What does p*** me off is the updates about animals/babies/kids etc. I dont give a s*** if baby x slept through the night!!!!

The block button only works one way - to block those who follow you. You have to use the special will-power button located in your brain to stop yourself twitterbating over someones timeline...

I think twitter is great, but you get out of it what you put in. Of course there are dullards, yes people talk garbage (tweet diarrhea is actually viewed as a bit of a twitter no-no), but you also get instant access into some great minds: writers, comedians, bloggers, journalists, scientists, etc. - from their mouths to your ears kind of thing. And twitter arguments between celebs makes great car crash internet.

The main thing is to get a few followers and actually converse with people. If you just sit there silently you're not going to get much out of it (much like here).

One thing that does bug me is the 'fawn all over a celeb' followers. And the endless hashtag games get pretty tiresome.

Facebook is just too much of a confusing sprawl for me and I'm not too keen on the questionable privacy issues. They have access to a lot of detailed info about you (if you're daft enough to share it) and they are quite happy to sell this info for boocoup cash dollar.

BTW did you know there's a facebook movie coming out!

I would never use twitter or facebook, because they are well open to the public, for anyone to gain access.

My oldest niece told me she was well protected on facebook for privicy, and I disproved that in front of her by typying her name on google images on my computer, and a whole lot of her personnal life pictures came up, including her university graduation pictures, and also a few when she was drunk as a skunk Grinning ( All on facebook I might add.)

Facebook .... questionable privacy issues.

It’s pretty scary what people put up on facebook. I made a page for a small business and added over 1000 people who accepted ( i don’t know most of them). The information that comes up on feeds with address, schools, dates of birth, email address, mobile telephone numbers. If that got into the wrong hands....

I think mine must be broken.

Yeah in October “The Social Network” with Jesse Eisenberg in who i keep getting muddled up with Michael Cera. The advert looked good. The idea sounds like something i want to hate tho Tongue
