Of course it could be off the road.
Mine is probably a lot less than some of you, but the fastest I have driven a car was 120. MPH. It was a Nissan Sylvia.
A mere 103mph for me! And only twice at that.

Many years ago a 125mph in a ford Capri I think it was a suped up version that Ford knocked out,it was my brothers who then wrote it off along with the car he hit a few years later luckily nobody was hurt.
Once got 95mph out of an old knackerd Honda 250cc motorbike,a G5 I think it was.

Um, 150+ on the back of a bike? Wasn't that a little terrifying? ![]()

186mph on a bike, several times.
I know I was actually doing 186mph, because the bikes are limited to that by a 'gentleman's agreement' the manufacturers have.
The fact they clearly wanted to go faster but just stopped, told me I'd hit the limiter and was doing 186mph.
In a car, around 140mph is the fastest I've been.
And that felt a whole load scarier than the bike.
High speed in a car gives me a scary sense of a whole lot of energy needing to slow down.
A bike will come down from high speed with much less drama.
You're talking 300kgs, as opposed to 1500kgs for your average car.

Sums it up with bikes, it's just so effortless.
You're there in seconds.
Even a 600cc bike will do 0-130mph in around 11 seconds.
